Hi all,

We are in Franz josef now on south island and got completely poured on last night, in fact it rained none stop for about 36 hours straight!! We signed on for a glacier full day hike for tom and REALLY looking forward to that! so will be posting some picies on here or on facebook of that one for sure 😊
last night we wnt in the glacier hot pools, those were beautiful, we spent a good couple of hours in there surrounded by rainforest, absolutely stunning. and not too many americans around thankfully...sorry if this sounds americanist but they are so loud!! everything must be OHMYGODDED at and spoken about in a ten decible pitched voice...arghhh why do they do it!!!?? anyway so it was a relief to not have any of them in there with us, as i suspect even the rain forest trees would have looked over at one another and rolled their eyes in exasperated irratation.
so what else, i know i have missed a heap of stuff out, um, we stayed in wellington with my friend catherine, very nice seeing her and hanging out and being in a bed!! woohoo...i swear the smallest things make us get excited at the moment after being ina wet tent most of the time!! 😊
in wellington we wnet up the cable car and then round the beautiful botanical gardens. we were suppossed to go to the tepapa(i know im not speeling that right but its as close as i can get to it at mo) museum but we decided to have a relax day-yes a relax day on holiday!!- and stayed in most of the day writting dairires, and watching dvds..fun 😊
After welli we wnet to the Abel Tasman national park just out of nelson. that was stunning too!! everything is stunning here!! im surprised the new zealanders get anything done as one might think they wander around outside awe struck by their scenery mouth agape, sighing in awe! anyway we went on yet another 20km journey....KNACKERED!! lol it was great though.
here i will backtrack slightly and talk about the tongariro alpine crossing...a 20km trek across active volcanic region. now that was stunning too and we saw craters and all sorts here.
so i will update again when we have done the glacier hike..i cannot wait to do this!!! 😊 nor can clare too 😊

Howdy
Hi guys. I've only just got your blog links, so haven't had a chance to speak to you now that I'm not on facebook. Sounds incredible and I'm so, so jealous. Are all your plans working out? Still camping in a tent round NZ? I'm so happy to read you're both well and loving the travelling lifestyle, I suppose it's hard not to! Anyway, nothing much happeneing here. Same old routine - work and save for the next trip! Hope the glacier trek was what you expected and more. Lots of love, Ben x
