Wedding Day
Today was the big day. We didn't get to do any sightseeing before the wedding. The ceremony was nice and short by Catholic standards anyway. It was in the church that Chris attended while growing up. The reception was at a Glenfalloch which is an arboretum of sorts. The flowers had bloomed and it was very pretty. The reception was interesting to say the least. In New Zealand weddings the tradition is that everyone and their dog gives a speech. After about three hours of eating and speaking the party was on. Rob was given joke “telegrams” to read from people who couldn't attend. The jokes were missing one key ingredient- humor. Thankfully, the award winning comedy team of Moring and Davis pulled out a last minute re-write and the telegrams were the highlight of the speeches.
