Wow, when people told me calving was a busy time, they meant it - it's been absolutely hectic here for the last month! We've had around 300 calves now, and I've looked after them all (yes, I'm exhausted!).

The oldest ones are fending for themselves outside now, only getting milk once a day. The little ones are the best to look after, you have to teach them to feed, and it's really cute when they follow you round.

Not much else has been going on apart from that, we've had really bad rain (something the UK summer has been full of I hear), which has left the farm in a real mess and means it's a lot more work for everyone.

Used to be a farm-view rather than a lake-view - luckily it's starting to dry out. Not great seeing ducks where cows should be though!
