Spent 2 nights in Abel Tasmin nation park. Very nice coastal part of NZ with lots of golden beaches etc. The road to get there goes up and down a very big hill, so the road is full of harepin bends and it's the only time I've felt carsick when driving!

Went to see some springs called PuPu springs (pronounced PooPoo) that the Maori hold sacred. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that they are water. There are about 16 springs, which combined, output 4 bathtubs full of water every second. It's amazing to watch the water bubbling up in the lake.

I also did a hike through the bush and farmland to see a waterfall. It was a good walk and included a walk across a gorge on a ropebridge. There was no one else around so I was a bit unsure - I had images of the bridge colapsing and me clinging on to the side of the cliff Indiana Jones style. But I made it across ok.
