Hello all. Right now we're in the city of Taupo. We just got back from a 3 day hike in Tongariro National Park which was amazing. And hard. To lighten our packs, we left our tents at the hostel and stayed in the huts along the way that are maintained by the DOC. They are pretty well maintained and clean, but the facilities are minimal. Back in Rotorua, I was walking around and stumbled upon this.

The park was full of hot springs and hot mud, it was cool to walk around during sunset.

At the geothermal wonderland, they prompt the geyser by pouring soap into it. Kinda lame.

dude those emerald lakes are outta control. leora and i were like "whoaaaaa man". so it looks like u guys are becoming quite the outdoorsman. that goon mobile reminds of the shaggon wagon (without the fur). and i was wondering if that beef curry is as good as the jack links kippered beef teryaki that we love so much...

brian, the blog is so good. i feel like i'm reading the perfect book - i understand almost every word, plenty of pictures, chapters are short yet inspiring, true tale yet totally not-believable, annnnnnnnnnnd i can read it at work.... i have no idea where you'll be next. i've heard you're thinking india or australia - the friggin decisions you are making!! i'm deciding who i should cc on this email ....anyway, have fun...i'll see ya when i see ya...

Ah Yeah
I love reading these in the morning to put in a nice dreamland state so i can get through the day. once again there is nothing more to say that the things you are seeing and doing are incredible. one thing. you guys must stink right now. no showers or tp..... noooo goody.... wouldn't you like a nice hot shower with a fresh bar of soap.ha ha ha or even a fresh pastrami sandwhich from katz..... put that in your dreams at night. can't get that in the woods.
