So, the decision has been made. Richard and I are going to head south. Next week we're going to rent a car and head down to the bottom of the South Island. Will be cold but I am extremely anxious. We're going to go on a job hunt when we get there. Living there will most likely be pretty fun. It's a decent size city for New Zealand with a population of over 100,000. So finding work shouldn't be too hard. The drive is going to be the most fun though. We're planning on taking the west coast route. Will be much more scenic, and will take a couple extra days, but nonetheless, should be fun. When I get to Dunedin I'll probably try to get into another Subway. There are 3 subways in the city, so we'll see what happens....

I worked my last day at Subway yesterday. It's too bad, because I really liked working there. I really wish that I would have found that job when I first arrived in Wellington. That would have been much better than working at the Feathers for 4 months. The weekend was pretty
Close up
Rose and I good. I have been hanging out with Dennis and Harley a lot. They're New Zealanders, and are really fun to hang out with. Dennis and I traded play stations for the night. I have all his games and he has all my games. I need to remember to buy Fight Night 3 when I get home. I never thought I'd get into boxing, but this game rules. And now that I've written it down I won’t forget. Friday night was funny. I hung out in the bar late with some of the staff, and some other people and got completely hammered. Playing pool is much harder when you're on the piss.

Well, today I set us up for a rent-a-car. Also, I booked us for the Interislander. Tomorrow, we get on the ferry and head for Dunedin. I am pretty excited, but kind of bummed at the same time. Leaving Wellington is a shame, because I really enjoy it. But, I guess that's all part of traveling. I don't like it so much that I’m willing to stay for the rest of my time here and sacrifice seeing other places, that's for sure. So today
I've just been packing up, and organizing for the trip. It should only take about 12 hours to drive down, so that's not too bad. Well, I don't really have much else to say. By the time I write in here again I will be on the South Island
Decision
I have made a decision. When I am done in Dunedin, I plan to travel around the South Island for a few months. Once I am done doing this, I am going to head back north and stop at the Downtown Backpackers on my way back through. If I can obtain a job at the DTBP, I am going to try to extend my visa. But I will only do this if I am able to acquire a job there. If anyone back home was able to see how much fun I’ve had there in the last 4 months, you'd know why I want to do this. It has been like a second home for me since being in Wellington, and I am grateful that I was able to be a part of it.
