There and back again

Well, went out tramping with Antony and Camron. Great trip to Tararua Forest Park. Hiked to powell hut and stayed there a night after spending another night at the hut in the car park. Was a great trip. Snow at the top lots of photos. Most of the courtesy of both the guys, since they are professional photographers, where i with my small cr@pp7 samsung hand held camera really does not get the same definitions as a guy who knows how to use a high end SLR.
Either way, it was great. A bit of an interuption in the middle of the night as a group from greytown came in at 12:30. A bit of a pain in the ass as they were really loud. But they seemed to settle down after cam gave them a bit of a scolding. BUt i could tell that they really were not standard hikers, since all the way up they had littered the trails with bottle caps from their tui beers that they seemed content with drinking in the dark on their trip. Really quality.
Either way we had fun, and enjoyed a bottle of ginger wine over two days between the three of us. Hoping to buy antony and cam a few beers for a CD of their photos. So there should be more posted later.
