Writing about the lovingly restored Number 12 Tram that is located next to the i-Site in Wanganui should be easy. But it isn't. I have seen it running on Saturday mornings through the markets. I have the photos to prove it. But trying to find information to attach to this blog proved difficult. I had a page from a pamphlet from the i-Site which provided me with a website, but it doesn't exist any more. Google gave me a few options such as the fact the Tramways Museum is open on a Sunday afternoon. I gave up and searhed for their FB page which they actually have. This will give you the best idea of what to expect and when you can expect to see it! https://www.facebook.com/wanganuitramways/

If you happen to be in Wanganui at a time when the tram is running, make the effort to check it out, then stroll through the small museum where you will meet enthusiastic volunteers who are more than happy to answer all your questions. Check out the photo of my assistant on the tram. It is definitely worth taking the kids for a ride on it.
