Taupo to Rotorua

I left windy (and it really was) Wellington bright and early on Sunday for a long bus right up to Taupo for a couple of days, a little town on a beautiful lake. The weather was kind of poo, so sorry for lack of pictures! I tried to go on a bike ride with my friend, but it chucked it down with rain :-( So we did some shopping instead.

On Tuesday we took a "Float Plane" aka a sea plane, up to Rotorua. It was across between a boat AND a plane, which kind of sounds horrendous for fear and travel sickness, but it was fine. Great in fact, amazing views taking off from Lake Taupo and over to Lake Rotorua. We were only flying very low, it really put into perspective just how far I jumped the other day! A much quicker and more beautiful way of getting from Taupo to Rotorua!
