Huka Falls, Taupo.
Chris, Lily, Hege, Diane, Stella and Self on a visit to the falls where a photo is taken every time the family is in Taupo. Yes we will go, no we won't go, but after much discussion, yes we will go. So, we are off to join our niece Alex and her fiancé Kev on their wedding day in Corsham, England. So looking forward to it.
The reason for all the indecision about going was the fact that we have had a wonderful 2023 so far and have enjoyed seeing the large majority off Diane's family in January and then having the great pleasure in having Chris and his family come to join us from Norway for a few weeks, Easter included.
Di's seven sisters and brothers arrived from all over, England, Australia and New Zealand. A good number of nieces and nephews came as well. A great catch up with everyone, being the first time for many years that the siblings had all been together. Magic to see all the cousins, and their kids, together and listen to everyones adventures.
Chris and Hege arrived in early April after not being able to get here for the last 4 years. So much excitement for the 4 girls to finally catch up with each other after all this time. They have all grown physically
Chris.
Happy to get in a bit of fishing. Magic. and also in maturity and it was great to see them catching up, talking, talking, talking about what is happening in their lives. It gives Di and I so much pleasure to see them together and to realise that the bond between cousins can stand long seperations and remain so strong. While they were here we had a very busy time, spending time in Hawkes Bay and Taupo, with day trips to Rotorua and Tauranga/Mt Maunganui. A highlight was the luge at Rotorua where we raced down the slopes {me Included} laughing, screaming and yelling. The huge swing high in the air above Rotorua and then the Taupo bungy had my heart racing as I watched the girls plunging into the open spaces below. Chris and I had the opportunity to spend a few hours fishing which is always great. Having the family together over this period was fantastic.
As we found that we weren't using our manual bikes anymore we sold them and purchased electric bikes which gets us out and about to see the sights. I'm very impressed with how they preform and they still involve a lot of exercise. I look forward to more rides to

All set for some new adventures.
Diane, Annemarie, Vivienine and Corrado places I haven't been.
As we had been with Chris and family for this time we felt that we may leave our next trip to Norway until next year but when Alex announced their wedding plans for June this year we finally decided, yes, we will do both Corsham and Bergen again. Now the decision has been made we can't believe we procrastinated about it. Wouldn't want to miss anything.
So off we go. Flying from Taupo to Auckland on Tuesday then Air NZ to Shanghai, then on to London with Virgin Atlantic We have never travelled this route before so it will be interesting to see how it goes. Once in London we will travel down to Corsham and enjoy the big day with Alex and Kev. Once the celebrations have finished we will drive down to Cornwall for a number of days with Annemarie and Corrado. Visiting some new areas but also visiting villages and towns we have been to before. Always enjoy the small Cornish sea side villages and towns. Also the Cornish coast which I always find amazing. After returning to Corsham for a few days we will head off to Norway to spend
Ella and Stella.

So looking forward to getting away from the winter for 8 weeks and enjoying a northern hempesphere summer before returning to the remainder of the New Zealand winter. Will keep you posted on our travels. Pip/Rod
