Well, I guess this is it. We've actually made it home in one piece! The doc says I'll live, too. My shoulder should come right within a year if I can stay off a bike. So we bought a couple cheap cars (inlcuding an old MG convertible to help us get over the loss we still feel intensely). We've now got a phone and are back on the internet too (as of today, hence the long delay after our last blog entry), For those who are wondering, our email address is still: wellsnz@xtra.co.nz and our phone is back the same as it was: (64 6) 758 9589 It has been really great seeing Tao, Ian and Hyunah again. They came up to help us unpack the thousands of boxes that were scattered among friends, in storage and crammed into the back room behind our kitchen. (Would you believe, nothing broke, grew mould or even got eaten by silverfish). We also owe much thanks to Mike and Lynn (and our tennants) for having taken such good care of our house. Hard to believe we've been gone nearly 3 years . . . We've heard from the two guys who bought our bikes, Graham and Scott, that they made it across the Nullabor no sweat; travelled back to Brisbane from Perth, 4700 kilometres, in just 5 and a half days. Amazing. We'll post some of their pictures on this blog site once we get them, but otherwise, this is it folks. We will miss this way of keeping in touch. Thanks for all your thoughts.

Peace with hugs, Ted & Helen Wells
