After our adventures on the high seas yesterday we decided to take it easy and just pop into town today (also try and save some pennies by getting lunch and possibly dinner away from the hotel). The taxi (which we had to get as we'd missed the last bus for 3 hours!) into town took us to the hindu temple at the top end of Nadi town, as we'd heard it was amazing. It certainly disappoint! It was all painted in really bright different colours, I did manage to get a picture but as you weren't actually supposed to, I had to to take it from afar!

We then walked down into town, which was a rather scary experience, no matter how much people had warned us all, it didn't really sink in until we got there just how bad it was. It was so intimidating! everywhere people were calling to us and trying to get us to go into there shops. As we walked we came across a handicraft market and decided to have a look around (big mistake), but it was even worse than the high street, we were swarmed with people the minute we stepped in -

all trying to get us to go in their stalls! We had a quick look and then bolted. We spent the rest of the afternoon trying to avoid the shop owners and popping into the less intimidating shops, and the supermarket to get some snacks for the boat trip out to the Islands tomorrow.

we managed to get the bus back to the hotel and it was amazing, it didn't have any windows so it was all open, and at one point we even drove along a track on the beach!!

Once back at the hostel we showered and changed and then went down for dinner - almost at the point of passing out as we didn;t get round to finding lunch in town! I've been staying with Nisha and Amie in their hotel room as they have an extra bed - it's so nice not to be in a dorm!!

P.S. Apologies for the lack of photos, we're all finding it really difficult to find a computer that's capable of downloading photos in under 10 hours!! Hopefully once I get to NZ it should be easier!! Fingers crossed x
