<pre class="western"> March, CarnarvaonBig4 Plantation Caravan ParkCost $46.75 per night with membershipRated by us 8/10Mileage 15865 travelled 132kmUp early this morning in an attempt to get packed up before it gets too hot. Looks like the flies don't go to bed they were worse than every this morning. The whole camp was on the move early most heading to Coral Bay and or Exmouth, both of which we are giving a wide birth this trip as they will be packed for school holidays. With only a short drive we arrived in Carnarvaon at 9.30am and were unable to get on the camp site. We headed down into the town centre as it is Good Friday we were surprised to find the coffee shop open, typical Asian owners they work every day they can. Sat and watched the world go by with coffee and a cake which we shared, chatting to other travellers and enjoying the sea breeze with no flies thank goodness.Headed back to camp at lunch time to discover no flies so pleased.We are on the same site we had before which gives us great afternoon shade but nothing in the morning but our awning will cover that time. We are getting better at set up all done even electrics and water in about 25mins and we didn't rush. Unfortunately due to the damn flies and our hurry to be done with them we discovered we had left our fittings for the water on the tap in Denham, looks like a Mitre 10 trip tomorrow no Bunnings here. Camp site busy but not full. We spoke to another older couple who have been here a week and they have seen no evidence of the violence and crime we had heard was prevalent here at the, moment, I guess we will as always be cautious.Went for a swim at about 4iosh the pool was cool and refreshing but we got told off because we had Tippy in the pool area, guess we will have to take it in turns the next few days, he was tied with his lead to the fence as he would not want to swim but that was not OK bug….Relaxing day, some pretty noisy people on camp tonight but hopefully they will pack up early.Planning day tomorrow as to which direction we head next, I think in view of the fly issue we need to stay close to the coast, will see what we feel like.</pre>
