Albany - Denmark - Walpole - Pemberton
After Albany, headed off to Walpole and area in the afternoon
- Green Pools @ Denmark was filled with many people swimming and even snorkeling and fishing! We remarked that it was even nicer than the beaches on Rottnest
- Valley of the Giants tree-top walk was next - extremely tall trees rising over 60m in height. The walkway reached up to 40m in height and it was short 600m loop walk round the top
- The Ancient Empire forest walk greeted us below with many weird-shaped trees. We certainly understood where the name ‘Valley of the GIANTS’ was derived from! Some trees had heights soaring above 60m and girths as wide as 16m!
Enroute to Pemberton,
- Fernhook falls - dirty, smelly and unimpressive. Not worth a trip at all!
- Overnight @ Pemberton Hotel ($127 without breakfast), part of the Best Western chain. It won several awards for best accommodation in the Pemberton area for the past few years. It was disabled-friendly too!
