Hallo aus Perth/ Hello from Perth

Damit ihr diesmal nicht so lange warten muesst und da ich nicht genau weiss, wie meine Internetverbindung die naechsten Woche sein wird, hier schon mal ein Australien-Update.

Die Fluege von Manila nach Perth waren ok und die 8 Stunden Transit in Kuala Lumpur gingen dann dank etw. schlafen und der Bekanntschaft einer jungen Frau aus Bangladesh doch recht schnell rum.

In Perth habe ich gleich mal eine SIM-Karte gekauft (fuer alle, die mich dringend anrufen oder simsen wollen 😉 006142638700) und wurde von meiner Gastgeberin Dixie vom Flughafen abgeholt. Fuer alle die es noch nicht wussten, ich couchsurfe gerade 😊 Ihr Haus liegt zwar etwas auserhalb von Perth, aber es ist wunderschoen und sehr gemuetlich. Wir 2 verstehen uns super und ich fuehle mich sehr wohl. An sich war ankommen in Australien ein klein bisschen wie nach Hause kommen, das Land ist und bleibt einfach toll.

Am ersten Tag habe ich erstmal eine Tour von Perth nach Exmouth und zurueck gebucht, die 8 Tage dauert und am 18.02 startet, bis dahin kann ich zum Glueck bei Dixie bleiben.
Gestern habe ich den ganzen Tag im Kings Park verbracht, der riessig ist und viel interessante 'wanderwege' hat and wunderbare Blicke ueber die Stadt. Es war sehr entspannend und die Zeit verging wie im Flug.
Heute habe ich dann Fremantle unsicher gemacht, auch hier wieder zu Fuss ein seeehr huebscher Ort mit vielen Cafes und 2 netten Markthallen.
Wie ich den morgigen Tag verbinge weiss ich noch nicht, aber entweder geht es noch mal in die Stadt in die Kunstgalerie oder aber an einen Strand oder aber ins Swan Valley ein Weinanbaugebiet.

So viel also erstmal aus Perth, das naechste Mal melde ich mich vermutlich aus Adelaide. Der Flug dorthin ist schon gebucht jetzt muss ich nur noch einen weitere nette Person finden, die mich auf Ihrer Couch schlafen laesst oder aber ich muss mich doch mal in ein Hostel einmieten, was auch nicht schlimm waere, aber die persoenlichen Begegnungen mit Leuten aus der jeweiligen Stadt sind mir viel lieber.

So you don't have to wait too long as I don't know how the internet conncetion will be the next weeks, here already an update from Australia.

The flights from Manila to Perth were ok and the 8h transit in Kuala Lumpur passed faster than I thought due to a bit of sleep and the acquaintance of a young Bangladeshi women.

In Perth I bought a SIM Card straight away (for all those who urgently want to call or txt me 😊 006142638700) and was picked up at the airport by my host Dixie. For those who didn't know yet I'm couchsurfing 😊 Her home is a bit far out from Perth, but it is gorgous and very cosy. We get along very well and I feel comfortable here. In fact arriving in Australia was a bit like coming home, I still love the country and its people.

The first day in Perth I booked a 8 day tour from Perth to Exmouth and return which will start on the 18th Feb. Till then I luckily can stay with Dixie.
Yesterday I spend the whole day in Kings Park which is huge and offers many intersting walks and great views over the city. It was veeery relaxing and time passed too quickly.
Today I explored Freemantle, again on foot, which is a very pretty seaside town with heaps of cafes and two nice markethalles.
How I'll spend tomorrow I don't know yet. possible options are going back to Perth to visit the WA Art Gallery, visiting a beach or go to Swan Valley a wine region.

So far the news from Perth, the next time I"ll write from Adelaide. The flight there is already booked now I only need to find another nice person, who offers me her or his couch or I finally have to book a dorm room. That wouldn't be too bad, but I simply prefer to meet local people from the town I'm in.
