Hi everyone, well finally here after mountain treks, numerous beaches, lots of buses (and numb bums) a few boat trips, the odd lizard and pink dolphins.....I'm in Austraila...just outside Perth in Kelmscott.
We got our flight on time, i had salmon with asparagas sauce (i like asparagas now, didnt know i did but i do now) we got choc ices and fruit and drinks (i like Quantas flights). The plane was only half full too, which i was surprised at but i guess no one has money after new year 😊.
Anyway 4hrs and 40mins later we got to Perth, spent ages in the customs bit...Nat had to declare she had cough mixture only to be told it doesnt matter...so she had to join the nothing to declare bit...eee what a cafuffle(dont think thats how its spelt) they are big on imports and things, just to make sure i wasnt in the wrong i threw my mentos out before the customs bit (mint sweets), Nat said they'd be ok but they were food and i didnt want to not get in the country for the sake of some mentos (although they really are nice and i wish id kept them now).
Anyway jean and ian were waiting for us (nats great aunt and uncle) and we arrived in Kelmscott after a short drive.
We've settled into our caravan on the drive and had a well deserved sleep that night,. we are 9hrs ahead and it all just seems to have caught up with us!!
We went into Perth yesterday, around Kings park and Cottleslowe beach- it was sooo cold only 19'c!! i know- freezing, lol. its warmed up a bit today at 24'c which is fine by us but everyone else thinks its cold...glad we are here and not Adelaide they are 40'c at the moment!! thats hot!!
We are just sorting things out today, reading guidebooks and things to plan our adventures 😊.
Tomorrow we are going into Perth to have a look around the shops and everything 😊
Anyway, liking Australia so far, the teeny bit we've seen of it anyway.

Hello, Glad you got to Australia safely and are having a good time. How tough it must be on you and nat to endure unimaginable temperatures of 19 degrees!!!! How will you cope?! Haha. I'm now feeling a little better and have managed to get out of bed and tackle taking down all the xmas decorations today. Why is it that the tree never quite fits back in the box properly when you put it away?! Hmmmmm. When will you be putting some pictures on here so we can have a look?! Hehe. Enjoy Perth, love Emma xxx
