Lake Argyle
From the lookout at Lake Argyle Geo: -15.7739, 128.739
We left Katherine (disappointing) on Monday morning. The scenery along the highway was beautiful. We stopped at Victoria River Roadhouse for coffee and the area is kept lovely and the staff are very friendly. The caravan park looked ok. We reached the border of NT and WA and had to stop like every one else. There is no going past this check point. They look through all your cupboards, fridges (including car fridge) and take rego numbers etc. The only bonus for us was the time change which meant we gained 1 1/2 hours. This got us to Lake Argyle Caravan Park earlier than expected so we went sight seeing. Lake Argyle is massive and our pictures don't do it justice. Didn't take any tours here. The staff at the park are very friendly and the infinity pool overlooking the lake (which was a very long way down) was spectacular. The next morning we were up at SA time which meant with only 70kms to drive we had to sit for a bit before we took off. We were running low on fuel having to use the jerry as the cost of diesel at the park was $2.02 p/l
so no detouring for us. The Discovery Caravan Park at Kununurra is absolutely fabulous. We have a lake view but its a case of look but don't swim as there are crocs in there. Even though it is fresh water there have been some saltys as well. Guess we will stick to the air con having to do boring stuff like laundry and grocery shopping today. We are here for 3 nights so plenty of sight seeing over the next 2 days.

Glad to learn everything is going well. Keep it up. Someone has to do the hard work. Cheers
