There was a walking trail behind the cafe area that the caretakers put us onto so we thought we would head out and give it a go before it got too warm. The trail led to a lagoon and the entire area was littered with native boab trees which Rachel has taken a liking to. We thought it best not to get too close to the water's edge at the lagoon; didn't want to become breakfast for any giants lurking beneath the surface.

We then headed back out along the dirt road and headed east towards Kununurra. Along the way we stopped at The Grotto and got some fantastic pics but again it seems such locations would be more picturesque during the wet season.

We were pretty drained after a few hard days on the road so as we drove into Kununurra we located our caravan park and took it easy for the rest of the day. The park appears to be in a nice location just out of the town's main business area so we look forward to seeing the sights over the coming days.
