The drive from Katherine to Kununurra was long but the scenery is pretty spectacular. Our first stop was at Victoria River, the river bed is huge showing where the water runs in the wet. David had a quick look but couldn't see any barramundi here.

The rest of the drive was a bit warm with the air conditioner packing it in - better get that looked at, it was a public holiday on Friday in Katherine so we haven't had a chance to do anything about it yet.

Will definately have to stop on the way back and get some photos of the great boab trees.

Arriving at Kununurra we head around to Tania & Rhys' and get the camper trailer set up in the backyard. There is heaps of room and it is a great base for the next few days.

Rhys is doing a 20km run tomorrow morning so we will all be heading off to watch him finish.
