Well the first night of free camping went by without a hitch and it was great to be amongst like minded people who had left their homes to hit the road and trek through the remote locations of Australia. We contemplated staying for an extra night but there is so much to see we thought we would keep the ball rolling.

As we headed towards Halls Creek we stopped at some fantastic lookouts that looked out over the vast red terrain. When there are no cars or trucks travelling by you can literally hear a pin drop out here as random birds of prey glide overhead.

We found another free camp on the road into Halls Creek and decided to give it another go. This was a smaller area than the previous night but those already set up seemed to be pretty relaxed sitting under a tree with a book.......when in Rome.
