Luckily for us last night we met a bush tour guide who mentioned that because of an eariler cyclone the quickest road from Cervantes heading North to Geraldton was closed due to flooding!!!

We set off a little earlier today to make account for this and after a 6 hour drive arrived in Geraldton after a rather uneventful and unspectacular drive, including a 250km detour around the flooded road!
