The Oaks, Cable Beach
Alyssa outside the Oaks Cable Beach Resort 23rd to 29th November 2012.
Vacated Cable Beach Caravan Park by 10am and we were looking forward to checking into our resort, The Oaks. Check in time was 3pm and we used this time for a bit of sight seeing. We visited Gantheaume Point, home to a lighthouse and Anastasia's pool, which was built by the lighthouse keeper for his wife. The most important feature of this spot is the dinosaur footprints.
Next, we headed to the port and then into town for lunch. We had Subway and did a bit of window shopping in Chinatown. There wasn't much to do in the Broome township itself, so we went to have a look at Roebuck Bay. Another site for beautiful sceneries and Broome is truly a nice place to visit.
Broome is the halfway point to our journey and we have travelled 14,000kms. The Oaks was our treat, to relax and recuperate from our journey so far. We checked in, cranked on the airconditioning and turned on the tv. Ah, this is the life. For the rest of the week, we went camel riding, four wheel driving on the beach, swimming in the resort, going our for dinner

Entrance to thr resort and more lazing around by the apartment. The week went by so quick, we wish we could stay longer.
