Cart races
Harry at start line SWAN HILL 29th Sept
The weather has really turned sour now and we woke to a cold and miserable morning. The kids booked into the peddle cart races which are held on a specialized race track at the back of the park. First to go is Harry and with the four of us cheering from trackside he set off peddling as fast as he could. Charlotte was next and she too went as quick as possible, then Josh going as hard as he could. After all the kids had finished their hot lap, the results were in; Josh and Charlotte with honorable mentions, and Harry as the winner of his age division.
The kids have found some great friends here in the park, whether they be here for a few days or only one day. They seem to be able to befriend with others quite easily. This has also been good for Rach and myself, knowing that they are entertained without us and without us worrying too much.
Later in the afternoon we went to 'Spoons Riverside' after a recommendation from mum and Peter. "You guys need to go to Spoons Riverside to check out the mirrors in the toilets!"
Cart races
Back straight - getting a helping hand from Josh it's not often you are told to check out a place for their toilet mirrors so we decided to go for some drinks and nibbles. Yes mum the mirrors are incredible! The mens mirror is a mural of "mans stuff", car badges, tools, car parts etc. And in the ladies (yes I had a peek) a mural off tea cups, soft pastel tiles and flowers. They would look great in any home.
When we got back to camp, Harry wanted to try his new bike without training wheels. The result - SUCCESS!
