Hello. Yet another blog from another voyage around Australia.
Nina got to go on this geology field trip to Victoria (mainland Australia, capital is Melbourne) with her university, so I got to tag along with my camera in tow. Hence, this blog will be mostly photos. We traveled around the west of the state visiting these volcanoes in places such as Colac, Port Fairy, Portland, and Tower Hill, as well as some along the famous Great Ocean Road. It gave Nina and her fellow geologists a chance to look at these various rare volcanic features that aren't found in many other places. As well, we got to see tonnes of animals in and around Tower Hill, which is a national park. We saw emus, koalas, kangaroos, and wallabies, all of which were wild. A much better experience to see them in their natural environment as opposed to in a zoo.
We also met a 55 year old inebriated, inquisitive, and entertaining female Santa Claus who accosted us in a restaurant and thought I was an Yank, and a waiter at a surfing beach whose intellect was taxed while counting to eight.
Overall, it was a fantastic trip.
Enjoy!

Christmas in Tas
Keep 'em coming! Wishing you guys a lovely Christmas and wishing I was the kind of person who got it together to send you gifts to Tas so you had something to open on the 25th. Sadly, I am not. I am the pregnant- forget-where-I left -my-keys-eight-times-a-day kind of person. Sending you so much love from the four of us. xooxoxoxo
