Just arrived and no time to talk, will update later.

Our outline forthcoming itinerary is something like this. Will fill in bits as we go along.

Melbourne
28th Feb overnight train to Sydney.
Arrive Sydney on 29th
Fall off - I mean climb bridge at 2pm.
Staying in Sydney for 3 days and then hire a car.
Drive
Drive
Get to Brisbane to meet up with a couple we met in Thailand (not ladyboys).
Stay in Brisbane a few days leaving around the 11th
Travelling up the coast to Cairns
Leave Oz on 23rd March to Auckland where Karen is meeting us.

Hi there yous guys - glad to know you are back in civilization (sorry, that doesn't apply to Aussie). We did the trip from Brisbane to Cairns last year. We were told it was a 15 hour drive but don't listen to them, it took two weeks with a lot of travelling, 2,500 kms but a great trip especially if you like squished kangaroos and bananas. Try Kinkia Beach cabin at motor camp, near Yapoon, Mission Beach south of Cairns and you will love Cairns. Watch out for box jelly fish, green ants, salt water crocks, sharks and red backs otherwise have a great trip. It will be safer to say in the pubs!!! Love Jan and Norm

.....don't forget to try the famous meat pies from the caravan down on the waterfront in Sydney, comes with mushy peas and mashed spuds and gravy - that'll stop you in your boots! And in the pubs ask for a schooner - that's a large beer. And also, at Sydney quay there is a fish market that sells prawns as big a steaks! Ooooohhh I'm jealous again! Karen xx

Hi again, now I have learned how to send you a message there is no stopping me. Thought about what I wrote yesterday and Kinka Beach and Mission Beach probably wouldn't suit you as it was nice and quiet and just right for us BOFs. How are you girlies? Hope you are well and not too cream crackered. If I´ve got your timetable right, by the time you get this there should be some fab shots of the Opera House and Sidney Harbour by now on your Blog. Hope you enjoyed the climb - I´m not that good with heights but what a fab experience it must have been - it´s so great to follow your travels. Hey, take care with all that driving huns.
