Paintballing centre
Were ready to kick some arse Hello to everybody back home and any random people or random weirdos that are having a read of my 3rd edition to the blog. Sorry for being a bit slow to add this one but i've being busy and lazy.
Mainly since I last wrote i've being working hard to get my beer ticket to Queensland sorted out. I've being doing all kinds of work from unloading containers of jumpers to unloading containers of jumpers to unloading containers of barbeques, you know very varied and exciting stuff, oh and lets not forget becoming a human sticker gun for 4 days, jeez that was extremely exciting believe me!
Anyway onto the more exciting stuff, I've being out in the bush a couple of times. The first one was a weekend away with the lads in the middle of nowhere doing some extreme paintballing. There was 18 of us, so we hired a coach took a few tents, loads of essenstial beers and set up camp. It was out on the NSW border about 3 hours north of Melbourne, so as you can imagine the coach journey was a good enough laugh on it's own. Anyway we found a camp site out
What a team
I hope them NSW boys are ready for this in no mans land and set up camp on some private property there, like you do. We then had to "borrow" some firewood from the locals and hitch a couple of tents up not that anyway actually used them. So the next morning we was all as fresh as a daisy! ready for a full days paintballing. The place itself was a huge forest with loads of different courses and setups, you couldn't ask for any more. We then all got in our uniforms and got some practice in with our paint guns before hitting the ranges. We was on the course with another group from NSW so it was decided it was to be us lot versus them and as you may or may not know People from Melbourne hate NSW people so it was on. There was bad blood from the very first course we went on, so from there on it was war. This made the time a whole lot more intresting, and of course we beat them on just about every course. The ranges was top class aswell, you had a smith and western town, a burnt out car war zone, and my favourite the world war 2 battlefield. It was basically us lot in the trenches trying to take there fort. We had a barby in the middle because come on we are in Australia and ended the day with a one on one shoot out until the bullets had finished, so we all left with a few bruises. We then went and got more supplies from the nearest town and camped back in the same place again. The trip home the next day was a pretty tiring one with most of the lads not sleeping all weekend.
The second trip to the bush was last weekend when me my cousin, Benni, Trav marsy and strarcksy headed to mount buller. Mount buller is what you'd picture Canada or Austria to be like. This is were they get some snow, yes snow. We headed up to stay with travs nanna who happened to live in a three storey log cabin house right near mount buller. The place was more the size of a hotel, so there was plenty of room for us all and his nanna enjoyed our company. On the first night we headed to the local country pub, which was full of checkered jackets, cowboy hats, and one japanese man in a suit, he really blended in well! Anyway we had a nice country meal, meet a few of the locals and then me and Vella hit the karoake. Someone had to step up. After our few songs everyone was up and wanted a go. In the end we had a top night and left before one of the local skeeters started some trouble, you know what these red neck pubs are like. The next day we woke up to find trav marsy layed out on the floor with a huge wet patch on his trousers, you make up your own assumptions on that! he reckons it was barcardi. Anyway we had a nice barby brekky and headed off to find a fishing spot in the forest, we finally found a nice place for the boys and me, vella and trav left them to the fishing while we headed up the mountain, when we reached the top there was an awesome view from both sides and a town up there, i couldn't believe it, we go up this huge mountain and theres a town there. Anyway we got some great photos had a couple of beers and headed back down to the lads. They couldn't catch any fish so it was back to travs nannas for another barby, during the barby the weekend was capped of for me when a big grey back kangaroo decided to stop by to say hello only the second one i'd seen in the wild, I also got to see a wild wombat so top weekend all round.
Inbetween these two weekends i've being to a couple more parties, some nights out and a huge afl match between collingwood and carlton. They take this AFL stuff pretty serious here there was 70 odd thousand for that game and thats not unusual in melbourne. Well i'm gonna book my tickets tonight to head to Queensland next week. I'm planning to head to a place called Bundaberg first for a bit of fruit picking and then work my way up to Cairns.
So thats everyone updated, hope you enjoyed the read!
gotta go see rex hunt for some fishing, so yibada yibba for now
