Monday morning was back to winter type weather as we got up to grey skies and icey winds in Omeo. We headed south and even though the weather was not fantastic the Victorian countryside is quite striking. At Conner’s Hill lookout we met some fellow South Aussies who gave us a recommendation to stay at Lakes Entrance so that is where we headed.

As we got closer to the coast the weather cleared up and Lakes Entrance provided some fantastic vantage points to look out over the water. We decided to stay for a couple of nights and after settling in had fish and chips by the lake and the flake pieces proved a big hit.

Tuesday morning Rachel had a meeting early so I headed out for a walk in the sun along the coast. In the afternoon we made our way around town and Rach found some bargain books that she was after and I couldn't help going back to the local music store to make another addition to my collection.
