Hello,

Just back from a two day road trip with the Lanes plus friend 'Hutchy' down the Great Ocean Road tm Apollo Bay. We went down across the ferry from Sorrento (which isn't croc infested thank goodness and then drove down to a place called Torquay for fish and chips. I thought this was quite amusing that I come to the other side of the world to visit a beach called Torquay.

Then stopped at the famous Bells Beach surf beach. Not many surfers out and about cos the weather (thankfully) was so nice and still. A few more stops and a long drive took us to Apollo bay for the night which was typical in its small, upmarket surfy sort of seaside tourist place atmosphere. Found a lovely bistro there though- called 'Buffs' where we went for a meal later.

On the second day we ran out of time to go any further and see the 12 apostles etc. sadly, so we retraced our steps and managed to see some koalas in the wild at Grey River. Well a koala to be precise.
