The grand finale to the 30th birthday celebration took place in the glorious wine regions of McLaren Vale, Clare Valley and Barossa Valley. Jacob's Creek

This is a really glitzy winery in Barossa Valley. Their wines are widely available in Canada.

Black Label Wolf Blass

Forget yellow label! The black label is so much better (and way more expensive...)

Yum yum yum. The premium labels are even better than the stuff we can find in Canada (but that's still good!).

This winery specializes in fortified wines - the one we bought has an aftertaste exactly like pecan pie... yum

Polishing off the rest of this wine in the parking lot where we had lunch of leftover bbq. Got to love the liquor laws - you're allowed to drink in public places!

At the last place we stayed at, the dog of the owners was begging to be fed some of our bbq feast!

Dropping it off at the last winery we visited, "Bird in Hand". This winery was located in Adelaide Hills.

We spent only 2 hours in the city - really only to feast on excellent dumplings at the aptly named "Dumpling King."

Love these updates. The photos are fantastic too - this is so cool. I wish I was there! Meanwhile I'll be in Thompson next week. -37. Blaah. Have lots of wine for me!
