Monday: We went to Melbourne Zoo! We also had supper at Lentil As Anything - a small place that does tasty veggie curries & you can pay whatever you think the food is worth!
Tuesday: We headed out to the Dandenongs & had a ride on Puffing Billy - an old steam train that goes through these scenic mountains. We hung our legs over the side & got rather cold! It was a good way to see the area, especially since the weather wasn't that great. We also saw & heard our first kookaburra!
Wednesday: Up stupidly early to fly to Adelaide. After checking into the hostel - no free wifi 😞 - we set off to the Adelaide Hills. To Mt Lofty to be exact. We got the bus to the centre at the summit, enjoyed the views then went for a hike down the valley & up again through the botanical gardens. Verrrrry steep for the final accent to the summit! To reward ourselves we had tea & cake!!!
Thursday & Friday we were on a tour with 11 other visitors around Kangeroo Island. More on that to follow!
