Cloncurry was our first stop of the morning and we took a walk around the main streets to see what the town had to offer. There was a lovely gift store which had some great second hand books and on the way to the bakery we saw an unusual sight. Occasionally you’ll see a dog tied up to a pole while its owner does some shopping but in this instance someone had tied up a bull......only in the country.

We changed direction as we drove out of town and headed north towards Normanton. Along the way we stopped at the Burke and Wills Roadhouse to re-fuel and then found another nice free camp to stay for the night. A South Australian couple pulled in with their caravan not long after we arrived and later on in the day we enjoyed some pre-dinner nibbles with them and shared a yarn.
