Hi again guys, we've ended up camping at Laura tonight behind a pub so we have mobile & internet service. Half of our group have left us & are back in Lakeland on tar sealed roads & in their caravans. Darryl is staying with us for another 4 days then we are on our own once again. Tomorrow we are off to Eddie's camp which is a camp at Elim Beach near Hopevale run by an aboriginal elder. He shows visitors how to throw spears to catch fish. After 2 days at Eddie's we are off to Cooktown for 2 days where we have booked a townhouse overlooking the Endeavour River. Can't wait for a little bit of luxury after weeks of dust, dirt roads, tents, canned food, flies, mozzies & bone shattering corregations. ARRRRR!!!! Our poor car is falling apart & will need a lot of work when we get home. It is filthy dirty, squeaks & rattles. LOL! I don't think our feet will ever be clean again & our poor noses & ears are so clogged with dirt, gross!!! Can't wait to have a bath. LOL! But we have conquered Cape York & we loved it! All the boys want to do it again but all the girls are quite happy to be going back to tar sealed roads, green grass, shops, technology & clean bodies & clothes. lmao. If ever I go back I will drive to Cairns & fly up north. I will definately go back to the Torres Strait. I want to explore Thursday Island a little more as well as the other islands up there. The people are so welcoming. Anyway I will be back on again as soon as I can. Take care. xxx
