Day 42 Townsville

Came approx. 135 Km to Townsville from Charters Towers. Beautiful scenery with lots of green. --->

The mall is the main city shopping street. The big ‘rock’ in the background is Castle Hill which has great views from its lookout.

The showgrounds is just left of centre. We are staying at the camping ground under the trees just to its right.

Looking south east showing the city centre and marina.

Currently being demolished. A new hospital has been built on the western side of the city.

Part of very pleasant areas along the beachfront. Lots of different water things to keep the kids amused. Take note of the big bucket on the top.

When the bucket fills it tips up causing lots of excitement and noise.
