can you guess which one i am???
Good afternoon

I'm still apple picking in the middle of naewhere, and surprisingly having a ball! Well, works been OK, but it's the Saturday nights down the town (village) which are really making it! First of all there was the hostel's 1 year anniversary so the boss put on a BBQ complete with a mountain of food and a trailer full of beer and goon. Add in a glorious sunny day and you got the perfect day. So we sat around all day drinking and having the banter, whilst working on our tans. Come evening and it was somebody's great idea to dress up in bin bags and head down to the pub...... and we did. I have to say that room 5 (our room) was the best dressed, and I even managed to confuse the barmaid, cos she didnt recognise me 😊 I tried my disguise out on a few different people but as soon as I spoke they knew it was 'the scottish girl.' We met a few elderly local gentlemen that night at the pub, and had some good banter.
The next Saturday was pajama party night, so we donned our PJs, messed our hair and generally went out to the pub looking a state....... The highlight of the evening was me accidently finding a carrot in Jen's bag.........she had brought it to the pub so that she could feed the horse across the road!??? The morning after was a leisurely affair and those of us who made it out of bed (not Stef) headed down for the pub's Sunday roast, and apple cake in aid on Emma's birthday.mmmmmmmm
Then on the next Saturday! It was Haturday Night! As in Hats on a Saturday night, get it? Well, the story goes like this. We had a rubbish week. It rained a lot which meant we only worked 2 days out of 5 and there's only so much time you can sleep so we got very bored... We drank tea, watched the news, I finished my jigsaw, er and that was it. First of all Satuday was originally a day we were really looking forward to because a steam train was passing through the village, yay! WE went down nice and early for a wander around the market and noted that the sky was beginning to look a bit grey.....Then it rained, torentially. The whole population of Wallangarra and visitors were huddled under the platform to wait on the blooming train, which was an hour late! It was great, we had real thunder and lightning, I have an awesome video of the train approaching in all of this. Luckily the lady from the hostel kindly came to rescue us in her car, as we were already soaked through, to the underwear! Our exciting Saturday was pretty much rained off, so we got a box of goon, 4 litres of the finest wine you can buy for 8 dollars, oh dear. We started with a leisurely game of King of the Ring and ended up heading to the pub an hour later, when we'd finished the box! In our room, we found 5 odd hats and decided to take them to the pub, hence Haturday Night was born. As ever, a good laugh and Stef couldnae get of bed for another day 😊
Now big Stef is off so I'm still picking. Work is starting to wind down here, the season is almost over. Oh and it's Good Friday tomorrow so we get a long weekend, which I'm looking forward to. Just away to head to the shop for
