Mullet Capital of Australia and the Journey to the Whitsundays

Yesterday we arrived in Rockhampton (aka the Mullet Capital of Australia) at the Comfort Inn. It wasn't the nicest place but it was a bed and we were only there for a little bit. All in all probably the worst place we stayed at huring the tour. That night most of us went to the Koorana Crocodile farm where had this HUGE dinner and got to see these ginormous crocs and we even got to taste some! It kind of tastes like chicken but alot tougher. We all got the opportunity to hold a baby crocodile, it was pretty neat, they feel very weird 😊 If you have to go to any optional dinner, go to this one! It was definitely really interesting and a good time! After that we dropped some people off at a bar but we headed back as I still had a little bit of the flu and wanted to catch up on some sleep.
Today we woke up early for breakfast, and unfortunately after breakfast I was sick again ... and to make matters worse we had a really long bus ride to Airlie beach. We stopped a few times on the way before finally making it to Airlie. When we got there we had two hours at leisure so I went to an internet cafe to write some emails and to check the financial situation .. lol 😊 We also had to buy some Hawaiian apparel for our Hawaiian night and we went for lunch and I bought a super pretty necklace. Then we all made our way back to the bus and dropped off the sailors who were going to sail the whitsundays on a yacht for three days. Michelle and I opted not to do this optional excursion b/c we just wanted to relax in the sun for three days at a resort. We then made our way to the harbour so we could catch our ferry. The ferry ride was incredible, the whitsundays are absolutely breathtaking. We stayed on Long Island at the Club Crocodile resort. The place was beautiful, there were wallabies everywhere. We had a huge buffet dinner and some new people joined our tour and we also got a tour guide in training (Sarah) -- she was very cool. After dinner we all went back to our rooms and then headed to the bar for drinks and meet up with everyone. I went down to the beach with two of the new girls Michelle and Marisa and we had a really good conversation and then we joined the others. Jetty was loaded that night .. michelle and her headed back to the room early as Jetty was falling asleep on Garry. Anyway Michelle came back shortly after to get me b/c Jetty was puking everywhere .. lol 😊 Holly, Garry and I headed to our room to clean up .. poor Jetty threw up everywhere! lol 😊 Needless to say she won't be feeling well tomorrow! Goodnight 😊
