new years evenew years evenew years eve

Sleeping before going out to ensure rested. Yes i have a skirt on my head my hair was wet
I know.... why not go from one side of australia, darwin, to the complete other side, rockhampton, for a month for New Years????? Mad welsh woman confuses even herself at times. So went with Sam to Rockhampton to experience in true aussie style what an australian does on new years with no backpackers just aussies exactly what i wanted......

New Years in a big dirt pit with lots of men in cowboy hats and country music and idiots jumping on big bulls and riding them around a pen for as long as their burly hands would allow them to put up with pain of gripping rope for dear life while being thrashed against railings and thrown over the bull to hopefully not be caught by the sharp horns or heavy feet...... and incase that happens there are even stranger men who dress up and throw themselves at the bull to get them to chase them.... they call these life saving idiots clowns (i wonder why).... So with all these fascinating things going on I decided to drink myself silly and dance about and drink some more and be careful not to be harassed by any young boys! Funny night! Good night actually had a real laugh!

Then after day of recovery went to beach in Yepoon which was lush and got treated to 4star luxury.... had crab and seafood and stayed in a great hotel with pool and everything right by sea and mariner! Yepoon is a really nice little town its kinda like swansea but 100 times better! Is hot with blue pristine water and no scalllies etc.

Then went to Great Keppel Island..... paradise but not all its cracked up to be as everything is expensive and too many tourists (no i am not a tourist i'm an aussie really just was born in wrong country!!!!). Went for a hike and ended up in tranquil beach with just us and a very large boat archored on the sand with people hiding underneath to shade them from midday sun..... me and sam would be alright we spent months in the outback (burnt burnt and more burning my poor nose)...... so went snorkelling and the coral reef was actually right under our noses I mean you could stand up and water was up to waist but swimming on surface and coral was all around you and fish were
me dressed upme dressed upme dressed up

I turn out alright sometimes
coming to say hello..... poor sam had to put up with the hum through the snorkel of me singing 'stinray... stingray du du du dululululu, stinraaaayyy, stinray dudududluululududu' for over five minutes after had seen one sifting sand underneath us poor guy! And the sea cabbages and pufferfish be wary of they are all good fun! poison, teeth and killing machines everywhere! We were mean't to go diving properly but caught dose of the flu great fun. Spent few more days in rocky with a spa bath in my room..... Note to anyone using spa bath do not put the whole of the tiny insignificant bottle which is no bigger than your thumb into to spa bath and then turn it on as you end up with 10 inches of foam whoops! So holiday over back to Windorah and well more holiday for me anyway! and back to getting on that plane again and going to mt isa to get back to Darwin and drive down to Infinity and beyond in MY car..... its all mine now cause Jess unfortunately is unable to get back to darwin... don't worry am currently looking for a friend to travel with cause petrol
man on bullman on bullman on bull

look at movement so hard to take photo
costs far far far too much!
Pics will be on asap!!!!

Do you know people over here have their moles scanned every year and if you're a bushman you get priority..... any grow more than mm or are darker than rest and they hack you with a knife and give you a big hole so you need stitches.... you had better hope its a good person or you'll have a giant scar........ skin cancer is huge here i might go have a check ...... will have to get second opinion before anyone attacks me with a scalpel though!!!!!!!
