Last couple of days in Port Douglas. Monday was spent on Four Mile Beach soaking up the rays and dipping in the ocean inside the stinger net. The net encloses an area about the size of half a football pitch and is wound in and out by the lifeguard to match the tide. Sea temperature was 29 in the shade temperature was 32 and in the sun very hot! Tuesday was spent around the pool, mostly in the shade, and although the pool is saltwater it felt far more refreshing than the sea.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, we leave Port Douglas at 9am and travel to Cairns for the flight to Hong Kong. We should reach our hotel in Kowloon about 12 hours later. This is the one with the roof top swimming pool. Should be fun.

Next blog from China, internet permitting.
