Mission beach for 2 nights and it was quite rainy and not much to do.

Townsville for 2 nigths, where I stayed at a hostel with a huge mosquito problem and har more of them then anywhere I been before :/
Went up to Castle Hill which is in the middle of the town and about 300 m high and a great view of the town and surrounding mountains 😊
Also celebrated Martins birthday with orange juice and chocolate cookies 😊

Magnetic island
Went to Magnetic island for 4 nights and did a lot of walking around in about 30 degrees heat! During 3 days I walked a total of 30 km in the relentless sun and with barely no wind at all.
I stayed at Magnum hostel at Arcadia bay and the hostel was the worst I stayed at. The kitchen was smaller than my kitchen at home and the dining area looked like a prison yard. Luckily the island had much to offer so didn't have to spend much time at the hostel 😊
The very first evening I got to see kangaroos for the first time and even a possum !!! 😊 The roos were of the smaller kind, the rock wallabies.

2nd day I went to the Forts walk and saw a koala in the wild 😊 It looked so lazy and the little it moved I saw that it lived a life that I wouldn't mind, although that tree branch wedged in its butt didn't look that comfortable, but I guess it was for safety purposes 😉 Also went for a wonderful swim in Florence bay, before heading back. Before sunset again got to see rock wallabees being fed and they were qute, specially a mother with her baby in her stomach pouch 😊

3rd day I went to West point which ment I had to walk 8 km there and 8 km back, since the road was mostly gravel road.

4th day I went for a 6 km walk from Arcadia to Nelly bay through on the ridge on the hills and through the forest and with very nice lookout points. Didn't see any koalas, but alot of skinks and a small snake that jumped out in front of me.

In the last evening ... veeery tired from all the walking in the sun. Due to the hostel being

A gas station that seen better days
so crappy that it didn't have a common room or TV room people stayed in the dorm room so took long time before getting good sleep. Also somebody had an alarm set to 6 am so got a early wakeup, followed by a snooze signal every now and then for more then 2 hours because that person didn't want to go up or didn't know how to turn it off.
Travelling has it ups and downs ...

All toads start in the inner circle, first one to get outside outer circle wins and its "owner" wins the betting pot.

At Magnetic Island these flies are everywhere and lots of them. They bite hard, will chase you for ages or until you kill them. I preferred the latest to get some peace and got perhaps a 15 kill count on West Point walk.

The photo got blurry, but I guess it better reflects what I felt like after that walk
