Rainbow Fair is at my school every year. I got lots of crystals at the Rainbow Fair from the lucky dips. They had a treasure hunt in the sand pit and I found more crystals there. I had fun with Ori and Edin playing on the merry go round and the play ground equipment. We made a cubby house out of hay. I made a seesaw too except it snapped. I had some pizza and Mum made samosas so we had some of them too. Danny was there and he was a clown! He did a magic show and he picked me for one of the things. He cut the rope and then he tied it back together with a knot, then he undid the knot and the rope wasn’t snapped, it was one piece again! He gave me a balloon made into a sword. Carly decorated our classroom as a castle with King Equals, Prince Plus, Prince Divide Princess Times and Princess Minus. Mum fell on her butt off the table when she was helping to decorate our class! Everyone came to look at our artwork.
Jasper came up to stay with Cathy and Daryl. We had a campfire
and cooked some potatoes. I did a puppet show with three little monkeys and Aiden did a funny one for us too. He used an avocado seed to be a meteorite!! We went to Mareeba to play with some other kids for a soccer game. We took Jerry and Josui with us. They are from New Zealand. At the soccer we ran out with the big players, holding their hands onto the field. At half time we played a game with Mareeba. After, we were really hungry. Josui said "this biscuit is so hard that it could be a brick!" Our team photo was in the newspaper!
We went to the movies to see Tinkerbell with Abby, Grace and Alli. Then we went to Muddys for a play at the playground. I got some leaves and flowers and a vine and a little bit of wood and I put the wood on the flower, wrapped the flower around the wood, tied it up with a vine. Got another vine and tied it onto the other vine and tied it around the boat and then I had my boat. The boats looked like the boat in the Tinkerbell movie. We
had a boat race under the bridge. Abby and me tied, so we both won. Then we had a picnic with some cupcakes and fruit. We climbed a big tree at the Esplenade too. Abby and Grace are good climbers too!
We went to Max’s house and made a big slide on the grass with a tarp and a hose. We ran back up to slide down again! Toby the dog came over and we pushed him down for a little slide too! We made a cubby with the pipes from the old chook shed. They had to move the chooks to another shed because a snake came into the old one.
We stayed at Ori and Edin’s when Mum went to yoga. We dressed up and did some plays. I dressed up as a policeman. Ori dressed up as a knight. Edin dressed up as a robber. Aiden dressed up as a King. Ori played the drums for the drum roll. We stayed there another time when their Mum and Dad went to a play. Mum looked after us. Edin and me went to the Dad’s workshed and messed it all up by making shields, daggers and
bow and arrows. We made an arrow case too. We did some hammering and had SO much fun! We got to sleep in the caravan and play on the tramp and the grass in the morning. Some kookaburras came to watch us eat.
I went to a Joey Meeting down the hill. The Joey Leader’s name is Melaleuca. Did you know it's an Australian tree name?? I made some damper, we learned some compass things and we played a game using the directions. If we had to go between North and East, then we had to go between North and East as fast as we can. We were allowed to keep the compass! I did some window art and we played with rockets. We made the rockets by putting cotton wool in a film canister and then putting a special tablet with a little bit of water in. Then closing it up, putting it upside down, stand back and then the rocket explodes. A boy from Venturers called Johnathon helped us with the rockets. I learned how to do Joey Parade with the Australian Flag.
