Well it's finally here, our time to leave.

All last minute preparations finished, well most of them. Everything packed onto the boat, key returned to the marina office, water tanks filled. A miserable gloomy day with frequent showers but had lovely hour or two with friends who came to see us off, most of us huddled in the saloon. Then came 2:30, time for us to leave, fortunately coinciding with a break in the rain.

Not wanting to risk a grounding headed for Tipplers and anchored there. Thought we were too far into the channel so up anchored, dragging up from the depths a very muddy anchor chain. We then chose a new spot, let the anchor run out and splatter me in mud, to find we were just as much in the

channel as before !

On the plus side we were now in view our wedding venue , the Island Hideaway, last chance to see it for a while.
