Wallaman Falls, Townsville, Bowen

Ok finally heading south. We left cairns for ever on tuesday. First stop was mission beach. As the name says nice beaches. We found a lonely campsite a few kms north with just 10 sites but very nice. We had a lazy day at the beach on wednesday and went rafting on the tully river on thursday. Lots of fun. Crazy really.... jonas fell out all the time. It was really good. We spend most of the day rafting including a bbq and a beer afterwards. We all got wet as you can see on the photos and it really was scary and a bit painfull at some points but so much fun.

We left mission beach on friday went to wallaman falls. The highest free flowing waterfalls in oz. Pretty impressive but it sadly not the wet season. After that south to saunders beach. 25 kms north of townsville. A lovely beach with a free campsite for us. Hung out with some of the locals at the community centre and got really cheap food there.

Saturday Townsville. Party time. Finally mobile signal and a town again. We went out for some clubbing in the night. Fun times...but there isnt that much too see in townsville. Another beach and a basketball court which sam really liked. As we were all a bit hangover the next day we had another lazy day and spent the night a few kms south on a free campsite as we got told it wasnt actully allowed to stay where we stayed the night before.

Next stop on monday was bowen. A really shit city. And I am still here. Nothing on here just a few shops and we hoped there would be work but it is a stupid time. Vegetable season is just finishing and mango season didnt start yet. We got offered a job on a tomato farm though but we didnt take it as we would be slow as we just started and we cant have it for that long as the season will stop in a week. And as we still hope for better work we will go to the whitsundays now....
