Katherine is quite a cool little town, much busier than the others we've been to recently. Drove to Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park today. We did a 3.5km walk up to the top of the gorge overlooking the Katherine River. The climb was quite steep and by the top the two of us literally had sweat drips pouring down our faces! The ascent wasn't made any easier by me translating sturdy footwear into flimsy flip flops 😉 but the view was spectacular and we were pleased our sweating had been worth it. We decided after lunch to go to the hot springs to cool off. It was odd to be in such clear, warm water surrounded by forest, very relaxing. Last leg of the drive tomorrow yipee!!
