Hi,

I just wanted to tell everyone about the Barunga festival in the Northern Territory, Australia, that's happening June 5-8th 2009.

Barunga is an Aboriginal community about 80km from Katherine in the NT on all sealed roads.

There will be buses running from Katherine to Barunga throughout the weekend, and there will be free camping with the $20 entry fee.

Activities at the festival include traditional Aboriginal dancing, basket weaving, didgeridu making, singing, sports festival, movies... it's a real feast of Aboriginal culture!

The website is www.barungafestival.com.au - and you can book through Nitmiluk Tours. There will be packages from Darwin. Barunga is about 4 hours from Darwin, and 12 hours from Alice Springs. There are greyhound buses to Katherine every day. www.greyhound.com.au
