On Thursday we arrived at Darwin. We stayed with the Boyle family who used to live in Mount Beauty. We all went out for dinner to an ‘all you can eat’ seafood buffet. I ate dinner and then 15 pieces of watermelon dipped in chocolate followed by one raw oyster. I almost gagged. We busked at the Parap market and checked out the Museum afterwards. We also went to the Leanyer water park as well as the skate park. The water park was massive. There were three water slides. One was blue and it was very wide and you could twist around in it. The second one was yellow and it was fast. And the last one was red and it was pitch black inside and you had to ride in a double tube inside that one. Will and I went to the movies another day and saw Dark of the Moon 3D. It was really cool and went for ages. We went busking at the famous Mindel market and made $300!!!!!!!!!! 😊
Dad got interviewed by the local newspaper about the carbon tax, but the people changed what he really said.
On the last night Ash and I hung out at the wharf with Jane, Will and Lachlan and ate fish and chips while mum and dad went out for mum’s birthday at an Indian restaurant.

Forest Boys
Hi Jarrah and Ash I have been following your travels with interest. You are both very business minded helping mum and dad pay for the holiday by using your music talents. A metre of snow at Falls with very cold temperatures. Michelle and Conrad — Some Club news: Ronice is fired up with junior organisation and is doing a fantastic job. So much energy. Her and Marg Trnka had 22 juniors at BOEC for the two day camp in the school holidays. Junior Birkies and Junior Joey days are well attended. The Ski Club had huge numbers at the Casserole Dinner (100 people) and 35 last night for the mid-season dinner at Roi's. Bob Flower and Bill Little were presented with Life Memberships. 100 ladies and girls turned out for the Ski de Femme coaching and 70 lined up for the races. Helen is working flat out on the 21st Hoppet. That's a long time! Yours truly has decided not to work CRT skiing at BOEC this term. Just cruising instead. Enjoy the remainder of your trip. You have covered plenty of K's. You must be pretty good at putting up that Camper Trailer by now. Regards Paul L'H...
