Daly waters

Where salt water crocodiles start living well furthest point south they are! So when crossing a river to get there at night and then realising that the next day we were a little perturbed to say the least. The place is tiny and yes in rainy season a river crosses road.... the pub is covered in memorable items like notes from around the world and photo ID of people that have visited here. We spent a few minutes looking around outside before entering Daly Waters to turn out car lights and wonder around in dark looking at stars. If I say that the sky in Britain will feel like its falling down on me when get home I won't be lying. With no buildings the sky here covers the whole hemisphere and is covered with more stars than ever seen in my entire life! The next day on waking with a wet pillow case and face and looking out window through mozzie nets I noticed we were surrounded by water hmmmm and needing to go to toilet the fear of crocs would have to go away especially since battery of car died for the fifth time. We have a new one now!

So we left Daly once had jump start and headed to Mataranka and Lichfield National park 600ks away!

Had to look around but dont think i know anyone of my mates and acquaintences who has been this great at actually seeing australia for australia and travelling the best part rather than just the touristy east coast which has nothing on this!!!!!

We drove through this night before!! Well further up road as this one had special tiny bridge to go over! But we didnt know that night before as werent diverted. Water is fun to drive through!!!!!

There are big man eating crocodiles in here! Apparently the aussies swim with the fresh water crocs but they say they are hard they are not that hard they wouldnt swim here, the aboriginals are hard they were!!!!! I got out to have a look Jess stayed in car!

On bridge
Didnt feel too safe on that rickety old tiny bridge going over! Wondered if crocodile dundee would come save me!
