Well i made it!
I can quite honestly say, that was the longest and hardest flight ive ever done!
Absolutely brutal!
The first section was fairly ok as the plane was completely empty! about 10 people to 30 seats in my section,
Thailand airport was more than interesting, much better than heathrow, apart from getting followed by a scary security man, although i did look really really really rough!
After eventually getting back on the plane, i had someone sitting next to me this time, absolutely hilarious australian guy who kept shouting during the safety briefing as he'd had a few to drink,
Upon taking off we discovered the cot that is strapped to the wall infront of us can be lowered to make a handy table/drinks cabinet/footrest and we proceeded to get fairly drunk,
Luckily he knew a hell of a lot about australia and gave me some places to visit,
After the flight was over, straight through customs (surprisingly) and onto the train to circular quays,
15 minute train ride ($14 and the trains are double decker which was tres cool)
Got to the hotel, and it turns out to be mega
posh, (cheers mum and dad!) upon walking in, once they discovered i had a room and was not looking for a place to colllapse, my bag was swished away and i was taken to the special executive check in on the 30th floor. Now what was funny was, the entire check in que (whcih was big) had suddenly had a scruffy backpacker who stank in shorts skip the que and get escorted to a private check in. ha!
Got to my room and its flipping awesome, massive room and the toilet has a telephone, and the view from the 30th floor is immense!
So had a shower and went into the central business district, got a new phone, sorted my bank then came back to hotel and pretty much just slept my arse off after a few beers,
Woke up early and had the mother of all buffet breakfasts and 2 pots of tea.
Then went out for a mega walk down to the sydney opera house and onto wooloomoolooloo port (yes it is called that)
Flipping fantastic scenery and a well nice walk in the morning,
Now off to circular
quays to get a ferry to manly.
Awesome stuff absolutely loving it here 😊
