life in oz is great. i just started my second semester of public health this week. as it turns out, i AM a bit of a whiz in statistics (distinction mark first term), and now i'm on track to become an epidemiologist (disease detective!) i'm concocting up a plan for my dissertation at the moment. i think it is going to involve 6 months in vanuatu, east timor, or brazil!

i spent my last week of winter break working on a farm in nimbin. nimbin is a crazy town. you can buy ganjcookies and cakes in the street, smoke dope in the cafe, and chill with mad hippies at sunday market. you can also pick up an international array of traveling men...
the highlight of my trip was staying up the entire night of the full moon with my harmonica and two stunning men. the italian and frenchman strummed their guitars all night long and i thought i was in heaven....
the lowlight of my trip was cracking two ribs after an earthshattering fall 2.0metres to the ground from a tree... whos rotten branch i failed to notice in the dark. i kept the branch as my souvenir of nimbin and the white ants that inhabit some of its tree species.
everyone wants to know what i was doing up in a tree in the dark... chasing boys obviously!

i moved for the 4th time in 5 months this week. this time i'm staying as long as i can. i live in a dope as place called STUCCO. it is a warehouse that has been converted into ecofriendly (economically and environmentally) student cooperative housing. 36 kids live there at $68AUD a week each (mad cheap in sydney). WHAT A COLLECTION OF KIDS. most of them are FREETARIANS, or FREEGANS... they only eat shit that's free, and they are connosieurs of an art/sport called "dumpster diving." at least they don't think boycotting packaged shit is too weird... father of freetarians donned me "nopaquetarian"... sweet as!
