Very good tastings here
Arrived Mulwala Friday night, our timeshare spot for the next few days is Capri Waters Resort, lovely two bedroom apartment right on the water. Mick and Noni joined us for Friday and Saturday, great to catch up with them but quite a drive for them from Moorabbin. Had a meal in the unit on Friday night and then headed down to Tungamah, Devenish and Goorambat to see the painted silos, great sights and lovely to see these little villages coming alive with beautiful art, then onto the wineries at Rurtherglen. Before embarking on this had a beautiful pie at Parkers Bakery in the main street of Rutherglen, people queued out the door, the pies were absolutely delicious.....expensive but great quality produce. Visited All Saints, Campbells and Warrabilla (Warrabilla is our favourite winery up this way, big reds and great fortified wine). Dinner at the local pub in Mulwala, The Royal Mail...great feed! Icy cold here on Sunday....arctic blast off the lake but still managed to do a big walk around to Chinamans Island. Mick and Noni headed back to Melbourne in the arvo and we had a quiet night. Monday caught up with our bestman Hayden and Janelle who have lived

in Yarrawonga for a long time, coffee and then dinner together....was great catching up again! Two years has just flown by but it is so great to see them, they are a lovely couple but was very sad to hear that Janelle has just been diagnosed with aggressive MS, having quite a few problems but hopes new infusion of drug will help her when she has it at St Vincents Hospital in September.....we just take, the fantastic medical care we have in the city, for granted....it is such an upheaval and expensive exercise....driving to Melbourne....both of them days off work....accommodation, fuel, doctors bills and extra cost of meals. Very relaxing up here, lots of lovely walks along the Murray River and through parklands surrounding Mulwala and Yarrawonga. Had a day in Wangaratta visiting Mum and Dad and lunch at the local tavern. Thought our friends Dawn and Barry were away for a while but by accident caught up with them on our last day.....drove out to the area where they live for a walk around the lake and drove past their street and noticed their car out front.....so more yarns and laughs with them another great catch up. Kegs are
