After a good night’s sleep, we mapped out a day trip with John and Norah. They suggested a trip to north to the Hunter Valley Wine Region. There are over 150 wineries in the rolling hills of this valley.

The wineries are located on the east side of the Great Dividing Mtn. Range (these mountains run north to south from northern Queensland south to Victoria). We stopped at three wineries. Winery owners related that the continuing bad weather (a rain drenched summer in New South Wales) has destroyed this years grape crop. One owner expects to travel to Western Australia to produce wine through an agreement with a winery in that area of the country.
