The Reason for the Trip

Almost time to leave. Bags are packed to overflowing with our first stop Dubai.

Left the cold of an early Canberra winter and arrived in Dubai to 34 degrees at 5 am. After a slow immigration process we were taken to our hotel and although we couldn't checkin were given access to the showers in the fitness room and a lovely cup of hot tea. Felt human again. To our delight our room was ready at about 8:45 . After a short snooze and a trip to the supermarket to pick up some lunch we were ready for our afternoon city tour.
